Robins Class

Robins class is for our Y3/4 children. Children in this class are taught English, Maths, Science, Religious Education, ICT and Grammar in a small group of 17 children, with an experienced teacher, Mrs Tucker, and two teaching assistants, Mrs Digby and Mrs Baylie.   In the afternoons, Robins Class learn about History, Geography,  Music, Art, DT (Design and Technology), PE (Physical Education) and PHSE (Personal, Health and Social Education).  There is a focus topic for each half term or term, generally based around History or Geography but linked into other subject areas such as art and DT.  The topic for Spring Term 2018 is The Anglo Saxons.

On Monday mornings and Tuesday afternoons Robins class join Woodpeckers for PE sessions - indoor PE on Mondays (dance or gym) and outdoor on Tuesdays (games or athletics).  They also have a 6 week block of swimming lessons on a Friday afternoon at some point during the year.

On Wednesday afternoons Robins class are taught French by one of our School Governors, Mrs Carole Almond.

Children in Robins Class are encouraged to develop independent learning skills through regularly using our two internet based learning sites - Active Learn and Mathletics.  Links to these can be found on the website under the Pupil tab.  Children are also encouraged to read each day; to practise spellings and to learn their times tables.
